William Hill Online is facing serious set backs after185 employees at their offices in Tel Aviv didn’t turn up to work last Sunday, to protest the resignation of chief marketing officer, Eyal Sanoff. Despite William Hill appearing as one of the world’s most reliable online casinos, staff are voicing concerns over rumours that the company may be moving their operations based in Israel to the tax haven of Gibraltar.

William Hill online was only established 3 years ago with Playtech providing the platform and  software for the world famous brand. For 3 years they’ve gone from strength to strength, in the battle to become the best online casino in the business. However, things are not looking too hopeful for William Hill, who alongside Playtech have suffered a fall in share prices since the walk out. Other online casinos are capitalizing on William Hill’s precarious situation, with even Playtech, who own 29% of the venture, expressing doubts about their relationship.

Playtech set up the marketing and technical support center in Tel Aviv for William Hill Online. However it appears that Sanoff resigned, because he refused William Hill daily access to the computers at the Tel Aviv office. Sanoff is rumoured to be suing the company for breach of contract. Clearly there is a conflict of interest between William Hill and Playtech, over what many believe to be the best online casino around. Sanoff is reported to have saying to Jim Mullen, (COO of William Hill) that he has Teddy Sagi’s (head of Playtech) interests at heart. This gambling blog can only speculate, but it is clear that there is more to this issue than meets the eye.
